Let's get another month done tonight! What did we do in March? I can't remember, so let me pull up my March pictures....
Oh, just another sweet picture of my two babies together.
That's right - my oma came to visit!! We don't see her very often as she lives in Alberta, but she came down! It was so nice to see her!
4 generations.
Lincoln (and Keziah) got a fish. This was a first for Lincoln. He named it Jeffery, and spent many hours watching Jeffery swimming around. The first few days he also would make sure Jeffery saw some of his favourite things (like an eraser!). While playing outside, Lincoln would pop his head in the door and ask me how Jeffery was doing :D Sad to say, we've had to say good-bye to Jeffery last week. He stopped eating.....certainly does *not* take after his owner :D
We stayed home for the March Break, but headed out to Erie, Pennsylvania for 3 days over Easter. We did an Airbnb for the first time, and it was so good!! We shall be doing that again! We hit Splash Lagoon while down there, lasting 4 hours....which is a long time for all of us - we aren't huge crowds people. We spent most of the time though vegging, watching TV and playing games together.
This fort has been around for quite some time. Keziah had a sleepover with a friend, and the two of them even slept in it! And yes, they actually *slept*!! It was fun!
There you go! That was March! Actually, a big event happened in March too, but there are no pictures.....so maybe it didn't actually happen?! But I know it did - I turned 40. Yup, the big 4-0. How, I don't know, but I am. While I can't believe I am 40, I am very thankful for the health I have. God has been gracious to me, and I am more and more grateful everyday that He has claimed me as His own.

February 2018
Nathan needs to go away more often.....then I get lots of blogging done! ;) Although I am very thankful he hasn't been gone in awhile, I am sad to know I am far behind on my blogging! He has a meeting tonight, so let's see if I can catch up at least one month: February.
Man, that feels so long ago, especially when I see the pictures of that month! Let's take a walk down memory lane....
I know I post this often, but that's because scenes like this happen so often! They are always together at home, either playing, reading, fort-building, whatever. They are always within 5 ft of each other. This time I found them behind Lincoln's curtains in his bedroom.
We had a great amount of snow this winter, February included. We made a bit of a snow fort, which was lots of fun!
Hahaha - these pictures crack me up! It was 100 Day in Gr. 1, so the kids had to dress up as 100 year olds. Lincoln took on this role like he was a pro! He thought himself to be quite something :D :D
Speaking of Lincoln, his reading has really taken off. He reads all the time, and everything. NOTHING gets done anymore. I send him off to do a chore and the chore does not get done because he has found a book.
Oh yes!!! Nathan and I headed south for 5 nights to Cuba!! Oh, it was sooooo nice to be together without work and Life "getting in the way". The food was pretty good, the weather was fan.tas.tic. The resort?! Well, let's just say we wouldn't recommend it - for 1.5 days it was like we were camping as we didn't have any hot water!! So in order to wash up/take a shower, we had to warm water up in our tea kettle, and use that! But oh well - we survived and still had such a great time together.
Lots of pool, ping pong and card playing was had!
The entertainment was a-maz-ing!!! Best we've ever seen!!
My love of over 20 years. So thankful for him.
We came home with a few Cuba gifts for the kids, one of them being a bat for Lincoln. I caught him practicing his swing when I thought he was in bed sleeping. :)
And that was February!! A short month yet filled with lots of good memories! Maybe I'll have time to do March tonight yet....

January 2018
Say it isn't so - THREE blog posts in one week?!?! Yup, Nathan for sure must be gone......;) But before he comes home, let's do January.
We welcomed the New Year like we have since, well, I have no idea for how long: with Jenn and Jay. It is always a fun-filled night and day (we sleep over).
We then headed up to Owen Sound to visit some dear friends of ours. There was so much snow, and it was SO cold, but the company kept us warm and cozy. We spent lots of time playing games, chatting, snowmobiling, chatting, playing and chatting. It was so nice!!
Lincoln was quite outnumbered, as there were 4 girls and he was the only boy. The advantage of that is he went on a snowmobile "trip" for an hour or so, while the girls enjoyed sledding down the driveway.
"So, if I push this button, what will happen?"
We then combined the snowmobiling with the sledding, by pulling the sleds behind the machines. So much fun!!
These two are in the same grade. It took a bit before they were comfortable with each other, but once they discovered they both liked games, the shyness slipped away.
The gang under 9 years of age...
Back home, we enjoyed the rest of our Christmas Break. Lincoln had this friend over for the first time and they got along amazingly well.
Once done playing outside, they played games for quite some time..
Lincoln roped in Opa, the opa that has played maybe 3 games in all his life, into a game...good ol' Connect4 :)
Lincoln loves playing games so much that even when he can't find anyone to play with him, he'll play by himself but as if there are two people playing! Love this!!
Lincoln was Star of the Week, which involved filling up a bristol board of pictures of him from the last 6 years. Man, he was so cute!
Nathan had received a 3D puzzle for Christmas. First, all the pieces had to be put together, and then it was ready to be put into 3D.
Ta-da!! This is one puzzle that has not been taken apart yet....
This girl - the flashy and more patterns put together, the better. She thought her outfit she put together herself looked pretty good.....;)
Having some fun with slime!
These two have been such good friends since Kindergarten. They got along very well.
Apparently they had to share a chair together, too!!
Trying to beat mom...
Crazy Hair Day!!
My two goofs.
And that was January!! We had lots of snow, and some very cold days - but lots of sun as well. It was a good month :)
