All Growed Up...

Yikes, the long-forgotten blog. Actually, it hasn't been forgotten at all, just not at the top of my priority list the last month or so. But here I am!

The last few blogs I had mentioned that a big change had taken place, and that it deserved a whole blog post on it's own. Have a flip through the pictures, and maybe by the end you'll guess what it is :)

It all started when he was about 2.5 months old.....and was seen while doing many activities, like swimming, going down a waterslide, hanging out in the jolly jumper, camping, getting into trouble, wrestling, watching the world go by, atving, and even at one point would not even come out when food was involved!!

We tried to make it stop at 4 years.....
....but it didn't work, despite trying for 2 YEARS and going through boxes of band aids and rolls of duct tape.

But alas, with Gr. 1 starting, this boy really, really wanted to quit....

....and after two weeks of that awful tasting stuff painted onto his fingers, a 6 year habit came to an end. He was so proud of himself!!! He received a puzzle of one of his favourite things: a train.

So he considers himself now to be quite the tough little character.....

And like any habit that is broken, it is replaced with another one. I think we know what that is, now that it's been a few months. This.kid.does.not.shut.up!!!! Who knew he would talk SO much, that it is now getting him into trouble?! I think his teacher is secretly wishing he'd jam those two fingers back into his mouth......I know there have been times where I have!!

But we are enjoying an all "growed" up boy now - and what he all has to say (mostly...:P) Looking back over his pictures of when he was little, I will say that he was THE most content baby I had ever met. And I thank his fingers for that!!
