P.H.R.T.F.L.

Our weeks are flying by - it just is amazing how time really does not go faster or slower, but ticks and tocks all at the same pace, and yet, some days it seems to tick and tock double time.

Some pretty, happy, real, thankful, funny, and love moments from the past few weeks:

Pretty:
Keziah had her face painted at our school's fun fair:

I got a new camera, as my last one broke. I am enjoying the zoom and clarity of pictures!

Happy:
Keziah came running in from outside: Mom! I always dreamed of finding a heart leaf and my dream finally came true!!!

These two have reminded me of lion cubs lately. I often find them happily wrestling, rolling and laughing together. They are so close!!

Real:
Reality is, it is time to start stocking up on camping food sales!

And camping food isn't the only thing we are busy stocking up on at this time of the year. Reality is we need to have lots of sun screen on hand, particularly for a certain little someone....

Thankful:
While Lincoln is a whole lot more daring than his sister, I am thankful that he dares to do things cautiously.

We are very thankful that Lincoln no longer has hand, foot and mouth disease. It was a looooonnnnggg couple of days for everyone, especially for him. The pictures don't capture how many blisters this poor boy had - all up his legs, down his arms, a few on his hands and feet, and in his mouth.

 Funny:
Footprints on the deck one morning. Keziah was absolutely convinced they were from a koala. :o)

I was busy doing the dishes one morning, when I got quite a scare! There was this triumphant face looking right at me!

We realize the importance of always supervising what our children are watching on a screen, whether that be on the TV, computer or in this case, the ipad. Honest. :o)

Love:
Ah, I just love these pictures of our two blessings. As Lincoln gets older, these two are becoming closer and closer. It is just such a beautiful thing to watch grow - love. We are so blessed to witness this sibling relationship grow deeper as each day passes. God is good.

May you all have a blessed week!

P.H.T.R.F.L.

I'd say it's time for another installment of some pretty, happy, thankful, real, funny and love moments from the last little while, wouldn't you? It's been awhile again. I think the amount of pictures on this post will make up for lost time :o)

Pretty:
A friend of mine gave me a hair challenge to do on Keziah's hair. Whether it looked like the challenge or not doesn't really matter.....I thought it looked pretty!

Taking the time to watch a snail makes you notice the pretty little home it carries, with the intricate swirls of colour:

No, he isn't pretty, but I would say he can look pretty cool (he has yet to realize how much cooler he would look without those fingers in his mouth):

Happy:
Lincoln is very happy that his friend has a Gator for him to ride!!

Seeing the buds slowly break open to let loose the green foliage leaves me happy (did you catch it? The pun?? Yes, I need to get out more..... :o)

And if the leaves coming out doesn't give proof that it's been warmer out, this will: dirty feet. Yes, dirty little feet make me happy.

Real
Remember awhile ago I mentioned I have a love/hate relationship with Lego? Yeah, I have the same feelings towards our sandbox. I LOVE it as the kids play in it for hours.....

.....but reality is, the sand doesn't stay in the box but ends up all over my floor. Oh well - it's so worth sweeping up!

Another reality is that every car key needs to be hidden in our house, or else we will have a very young driver on our hands!

Thankful:
Keziah is very thankful for cousins, even if that means she is outnumbered at times!!

I am SO thankful for that fence!!!! Water and water that has ducks in it would be just way too tempting for certain little people:

Funny:
This was the first time Lincoln has worn short-sleeves in over 1/2 a year. He kept asking me to pull them down for him :o)

Who knew that laundry hampers could be so much fun?!

I don't know about you, but apparently this is quite a comfortable position to be in to watch TV. I dare you to try it.

It was quite funny to watch Keziah try to figure out how binoculars work:

While Lincoln doesn't think it's funny when we take him out of the driver's seat, we do :o) He hangs on like this every time we remove him from it!
Love:
My sleeping baby:

I absolutely love hearing Keziah "read" to her brother in the next room, while I am in the kitchen working. And he is a very happy recipient of her imagination.

Life is good as we continue to grow with each other, learn from each other, and love each other. We are thankful to God also for not only the growth happening in our home, but also the growth outside, as things turn greener and flowers are blooming. What a comfort it is to know that not only did God create this world we live in, He maintains it as well. He is faithful season after season. Thank you, Lord, for Your steadfastness!!

P.H.R.T.F.L.

Say what?!

I know, it's been awhile, eh, since I've done a P.H.R.T.F.L. post. So without further adieu, here is a glimpse of some pretty, happy, real, thankful, funny and love moments over the past weeks:

Pretty:
Watching the sunset going down:

Watching the sun go up (don't mind the blurry picture.....I may or may not have been driving....)

Happy:
Talking on the phone with anybody makes these children pretty happy.

The outdoors is ever so slowly warming up and so everyone was happy to be able to play outside, and even be able to chalk on the driveway without fingers freezing off. Good thing we enjoyed that last week as we are back in the deep freeze.

Real:

I no longer have a baby. For real. Not only is he toilet trained, I now think he is ready for a big boy's bed. What do you think?!

Thankful:
We are so thankful for the many friends God has placed on our paths, whether they are little or big. Er, maybe I should say whether they are young or old. Hmmm. That doesn't sound right either. Well, you know what I mean. We are thankful for friends all around!!! :o)

Funny:
We did enjoy a day here and there that was so nice and warm. But let me tell you, old habits are hard to get rid of. Here is Keziah, playing outside in 15 degree Celsius weather. Note the ear muffs AND the hat :o)

Is teaching posture one of the first things kids are taught when they start school? I sure hope so.....

Love:
I found out that somebody absolutely loves dogs!! Lincoln could not get enough of this dog. It was fun to watch, well, when I wasn't heaving. I can't stand licking dogs. Ewww!

And I just adore these pictures. I was called into the family room by darling daughter, to show me she made her brother. Out of train tracks. I love this girl's creativity!!!

And that is all, folks!

(psssst. I actually did some more unpinnings, some very yummy unpinnings. Stay tuned because you will for sure want to try them as well :o)
